Festival ao Largo 2025: Classical Summer Nights – Free Open-Air Shows in Lisbon
Each summer, Lisbon transforms Largo de São Carlos, right in the heart of Chiado, into a stunning open-air stage. From July 4 to 28, 2025, the Festival ao Largo returns for its 17th edition, offering a series of free concerts, operas, and dance performances in a magical setting.
This year marks the 500th anniversary of Portuguese poet Luís de Camões, and the festival celebrates his legacy with a rich program inspired by his work and cultural influence.
A free open-air cultural festival
The Festival ao Largo is more than just a concert series – it’s an invitation to experience top-tier Portuguese artistic institutions in a beautiful, accessible way. Organized by OPART with the support of Millennium BCP, the festival brings together:
- Portuguese Symphony Orchestra
- São Carlos National Theatre Choir
- National Ballet Company
- Victor Córdon Studios
For the first time, two mornings will also be dedicated to family-friendly workshops, perfect for introducing little ones to the world of classical music and storytelling.
