In recent years, brunch has become a trend for food lovers and Instagrammers worldwide. Initially reserved for Sundays, it has become popular and is now available throughout Lisbon all week long. Most places offer similar menus with homemade fruit juices, smoothies, milkshakes, enhanced coffees, poached/benedict eggs, avocado/salmon toasts, pancakes, waffles, and vegan options, with an average cost of €15 to €20.

Antù Alfama
For those who enjoy English-style breakfasts, this is the place to be. Bacon, beans, sausages, bagels on the menu, as well as gnocchi (€14), beefsteak (€18), and cocktails (mojito, margarita starting from €8).
Plus: a large terrace, an art gallery, and a thrift store.

This is an address found in our article “7 Restaurants in Alfama“. What makes this place exceptional for us is the musical atmosphere you’ll find here. Tucked away in a alley in the heart of Alfama, at the junction of the Graça neighborhood, this place is very charming with a mix of different furniture styles. The service is very welcoming and relaxed, where you’ll enjoy taking your time.
Freshly squeezed fruit juices and smoothies are to die for. Just like the multiple toasts, especially the avocado and spice one that we particularly love. Porridge bowl with cardamom and chocolate is ultra-gourmet! Not to mention the exquisite homemade ice cream.
They have the gift of turning simple recipes into something truly excellent.
A big plus for the ambiance thanks to their fine musical selection.

Break Sé
Just next to the famous Sé Church, you’ll find this charming and cozy spot for breakfast or lunch. They also offer burgers, burritos, bowls, and some light meal suggestions like shrimp salad.
Plus: they have a few outdoor tables.

Miolo
Not far from the famous Pasteleria de Belem, you’ll find this charming place with a “fofinha” decoration and original flavors. One of their specialties is “famosas bochechas” shredded pork cheek (€10), and “rabanadas” French toast, also known as Benedict French toast for €7.50. And for the gourmands like us, we recommend trying their banana or carrot cake accompanied by their Matcha tea (€4.50).

Principe Real
Instant Crunch
Another good address just a few meters from Praça de Alegria and Avenida da Liberdade. Delicious, colorful, and fresh dishes. From classics to the most original, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. Don’t hesitate to try their Caldo Verde, a Portuguese specialty (cabbage soup with chorizo). And note that it’s also a very good address for tapas!

The place is cozy, bright, with beautiful background music for an impeccable atmosphere for an exquisite moment!
You’ll find Sirniki, a small Russian pancake with cheese for €8.50, and their Jesus Mushroom toast with an extraordinary mushroom and mustard sauce for €9.50.
Plus: several natural wines on the menu.

For those who love tea room atmospheres and retro decor (included in the prices), this address is for you. Macarons (€1.85), several choices of small pastries, and you’ll definitely fall for the Dutch pancake.
There’s a small terrace and photo spots. And it’s also possible to order fish dishes.

Near the roundabout of Marques Pompal is this very nice address. We appreciate the variety of their brunch menus (without drinks):
- Mexican with tortillas (€12),
- Continental Salmon (€15),
- English (€13),
- Vegan with tofu, spinach (€13),
- Oriental with hummus (€15) … And a whole series of savory waffles.
Their particularity: you can eat their brunch from 8 am to 10 pm without interruption!

This place has a modern industrial decoration with a second floor open to the main room, making it a very pleasant place. On their menu, you’ll find Tacos and nacos (€5/6), tapiocas, Brazilian crepes (€8/9), and shakshuka, a traditional Israeli dish with poached eggs, tomato sauce, and spices (for €9.50).
Cocktails, mocktails, Sangria (€20 per liter), and Kombucha (€4).

Fauna & Flores
Nice decoration with a mix of plants and wood. You’ll find what you find in all brunches at the same price but with a very special and successful way, we must say, of executing the recipes.
For coffees and lattes, we have a weakness for the AFFOGATO at €4, coffee with a scoop of ice cream.
And alcoholic drinks: the MOCKATINI at €7, Coffee, Kahlua (coffee liqueur), vodka, and chocolate.
Plus: terrace and they have a children’s menu at €9.

Brunch on the Tejo
