Hello,
My name is Tania Barros, a French-Portuguese national and the creator of the website Où Sortir à Lisbonne.
I was born in Portugal, but my family moved to France when I was just one year old. I grew up in France, where I experienced my first words, schooling, first loves, and first jobs. After spending the first part of my life in Picardy and Normandy, I decided at the age of 27 to return to my homeland—a place I had only ever known through vacations and where I was born.
To this day, this decision ranks among the top three best decisions of my life. I find myself deeply connected to the Portuguese way of life. I love the hospitality, the sense of community, the food, the mild climate, the landscapes… simply the overall quality of daily life here.
Personal and Professional Experience
Communication and Event Planning
My education and experience in commercial communication in France opened doors to interesting roles in Portugal. I held positions as a team leader and technical supervisor in customer support for companies like Bouygues Telecom and Apple. These roles honed my skills in client management.
Simultaneously, I pursued my passion for event planning, working as a public relations and production coordinator for various production agencies, bars, clubs, restaurants, and tourism agencies.
Tourism
Completely by chance (or rather by a stroke of luck), I became a tour guide seven years ago. Working outdoors, meeting new people, and showcasing my country, its values, and its gastronomy was a revelation and an honor for me. I specialized, among other things, in street art, which is another passion of mine.
A knack for discovering new experiences, especially in organization
Naturally sociable and curious, I have built a fantastic network of passionate contacts over time. Today, I collaborate with over:

- 50 boat crews,
- numerous drivers,
- restaurateurs,
- producers,
- artists,
- athletes and instructors of all kinds.
As I tailor my services, my knowledge expands with each client request.
